Welcome to Eve, Version One: The Garden
We are thrilled to have each and every one of you with us; we are a new game, certainly, but so much work and thought has been put into our concept, our creation, and our characters that it is nearly impossible for many of us to imagine that we have quite literally just opened our doors (or Joining Board, as the case might be). You will find an open community hosted here on Eve, of exceptional and developing writers, each contributing a vital piece to our original plotline. We do not turn away anyone who is willing to develop themselves and their writing, nor do we take offense to constructive criticism - even the best of us still have something to learn; do not be intimidated by the quality and caliber of many of our players: we all, once upon a time, started quite simply and have advanced to this. So join us, please; we look forward to writing with you.

The Backstory of Eve
Long ago, the world was simpler, easier; there were no titles to win, no accomplishments to boast of, neither Kings nor Queens to rule - - it was a time of austerity, when the World herself provided what was needed, and nothing more was wanted. There was grass to soothe hunger; there was clear water to quench thirst; the air was clean, the skies a deeper, richer shade of blue; the forests were thick and free of harm; life was truly charmed.
But Knowing was wrong; Wisdom was an unclean thing; Sagacity brought pain and confusion where before was only blissful ignorance. Soon language arose, bitter disputes over land began; War became commonplace and lauded as a test of character; titles were to be fought over, to be respected and to be feared; we began to choose other names for ourselves, Magick was discovered, we gained powers we had never before heard of ... and the World wept for the loss of its' simple, innocent creatures. But in the East, somehow, they had never forgotten the simplicity of life before the advent of Knowledge. And it is to the East we went, desperate for a world in which we no longer belong.
